2014 Top 30 Formulators in China
ranked as No. 2

Shanghai, China, 6 June 2014 – Rotam CropSciences China Sales and Distribution Business Unit has been ranked number 2 in sales value out of the ‘Top 30 Formulators’ by China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA) for two consecutive years. This award evaluated over 1,000 agrochemical companies across China.

Rotam has expanded rapidly in China with growth of 16.9% per annum in the period 2008 to 2013 exceeding the growth of 8.6% per annum for the conventional crop protection market in the same period. With sales exceeding 1 billion RMB in 2013, James Liu, Rotam Vice President and Regional Head in China believes that the firm’s ‘grass-roots’ approach to crop protection is the continuing key to business’ success. “Rotam China is committed to its mission to ‘serve farmers whole-heartedly’ and deliver solutions to meet their cropping needs,” he says.

“This is underpinned by a two-pronged marketing strategy, comprising of our direct Rotam-branded product offering, complemented by a range of products produced or distributed on behalf our partners, who include Nippon Soda, Nihon Nohyaku and BASF.

“And this is delivering such rapid growth in China because we take a novel approach to the advancement of post-patent product development, through our commitment to quality, R&D and technical support.

“These attributes have been central to our success, and is reflected in these prestigious CCPIA awards,” comments Mr Liu. “We are honoured to receive this important recognition from the industry,” he adds.
